About "For the kids"

Posted by Jason on July 11,2009

"For The Kids" is dedicated to helping children in Bloomington. We believe that early childhood education is the key to our children's future. To this end, 100% of the proceeds from "For The Kids" will be donated to local early childhood education.

"For The Kids" was conceived after a discussion my wife Alicia and I had with Shannon Chapman, the director of Child Care Connections.  Our son, Rhys, has attended Child Care Connections since he was two months old, and we have witnessed first-hand the amazing developmental advantage a top notch early childhood education center gives him.  However, the largest hurdle that the center faces is a lack of funding.  Mrs. Chapman expressed her interest in several facility and curriculum upgrades that the center sorely needs.  My wife and I began discussing ways in which we could help raise the necessary funds ourselves, and then donate them to the Salvation Army.

The idea we developed was "For The Kids" - a family-friendly professional wrestling event to raise money for a good cause.

I thank you for stopping by our website, and I look forward to seeing you on September 11, 2009 at the National Guard Armory in Bloomington, IN!
